Jane Austen

Chris and I enjoy a lot of the Masterpiece Theater productions. Recent enjoyments include Bleak House, and the Complete Jane Austen. Last night they did Mansfield Park, and the week before that Northanger Abby. I'm looking forward to the 6 movie A&E version of Pride and Prejudice they will be showing on Feb 10, 17, and 24. It is revitalizing (pardon the Pantien ProV usage) to watch a love story so innocently portrayed on TV. Yay for love stories! It will be interesting to watch next week's Austen Regrets, focused on the life of Jane Austen. For more info visit Masterpiece's website.

What kind of favorites? the 1995 BBC version of Persuasion is pretty good. Or other austen-esque books I like are, "Wives and Daughters" and "North and South" by Gaskell. Another Masterpiece Theatre production I liked is Jane Eyre.
