February 2021

Its difficult not picking up Theo. We do lost of cuddling while I'm sitting.

Gwen has been LOVING taking piano lessons from Grandma Dixie. Freddy does it to, but doesn't enjoy it quite as much. Gwen will learn her pieces pretty well within a day or two and loves to play them for us all.

Valentines Day was really low key this year.  I wasn't feeling up to doing much for the kids. Good thing they had fun classroom parties!

It hardly snowed this year, but when it does, we enjoy every second of it!

Max and Theo are two hooligans that spur each other on. Max is so independent and will figure out how to get whatever he wants, no matter how high it is in the Pantry. Here he's pictured eating some stolen valentines day candy, hiding under the desk.  Later on he made a HUGE mess in the kitchen by throwing kinetic sand and playdough as far as he could in every direction. When I came upon the scene he quickly jumped off his chair by the table and hid under the bar stools.  Another time he took one bite out of each slice of about a half a loaf of bread. He's also found a new favorite song to ask Alexa to play, Its called "The Poop Song" and he finds it hilarious. He and Theo climbed up on the counter to unlock Alexa and then play this song on repeat while they bang wooden spoons to the beat.  He just wears himself out most days but if he naps even for a few SECONDS, he'll stay awake at bedtime so late...even 11:00, one time!

On one of our professional development days we met Brittany and her kids at a sledding hill up the canyon from their house. It was super fun. I couldn't carry Theo or go sledding myself (used my core muscles too much!) but the big kids helped him up and down the hill.

Chris has been working a lot from home and its been really helpful. I've been surprised how long I've been set back with that surgery. I had ingrown hairs near the incision line that were painful whenever I squat or bed over...maybe something about the way the skin is being pulled?
