Fathers day, last hurrahs in Starkville

Father's day breakfast-in-bed

We got in one more time at Lake Tiak-o-Khata with Audra!

Burning up the big tree that fell a year ago, randomly, in the middle of a quiet Saturday. (It had rotted from the inside out... a typical Hackberry)

A RARE quiet moment of summer when all the kids were reading.

A sweet couple that moved into our little branch just a month earlier needed someone to watch their 2 year old daughter for a few days (she didn't have a passport so couldn't go with her parents to her grandpa's unexpected funeral in Mexico). Kinda crazy how we were the best option despite having the house on the market, and moving in 2 weeks, with 5 kids, a 6 month pregnant mom recently diagnosed with gestational diabetes... but we were really the best option...! She did great and Gwen was a big help. She only cried for a little bit at nights when we put her to bed earlier than she was used to. (I NEED MY KID-FREE EVENINGS)  While she was here we caught our last turtle!

Our announcement on social media about our move to Utah also included a little plug for someone to buy our beloved house. We REALLY want it sold so we can find a place to live in Utah and get settled before school starts and the baby comes. We've had some showings... maybe like 1-2 a week on average.  We are really going to miss this beauty.

We had some last playdates and dinner dates with dear friends like the Pages ... and of course we couldn't forget to celebrate Shuniqua's birthday and make her favorite Perfectly Chocolate Chocolate Cake with chocolate whipped cream frosting.

We had a little going away dinner party with my ladies from the branch.  I got to pick so I chose my favorite Thai place. Massaman Curry.... yum.  These women have been my family... mom, sisters, aunts to me. I love them each so so much and am so sad to leave them. I just want to cry looking at this picture. Sharon, Janelle, Peggy, Emily, Donna, Amy, Jennifer and Audra. 💗💗💗
