End of August

I took Max and Theo up to the Ridge one day during school...enjoying my new found freedom with no 1/2 day kinergartener! 

Chris and I have been better about going on dates. We're trying new places around us. We really enjoyed this Korean BBQ place. 

Charlie volunteered to switch from Violin to Cello. It was a surprise to everyone. I worked hard to convince him to stick with orchestra (not band like he expressed interest in) because he took violin lessons last year, we already have a violin and he already knows how to play it... so when he came home his first day from Orchestra and told me he switched to cello, I was totally surprised... not entirely happy about it. But Charlie was sure he'd like it better than violin and he promised to stay with it. So we went to the local music store and started renting to own a cello!

Max is starting to be so fun.  He's listening better and communicating effectively. Its been fun doing things with him like cooking. Also he did the cutest thing the other day when Gwen complained of hurting her arm. He went and got ice in a baggy and put it on it and kissed it better. Gwen and I had a hard time trying not to laugh. It turned her tears around for sure. 

The evenings are so pleasant. I took some time once to just lay out on the trampoline with Max and Freddy and watch the sun set.  Max and I stayed out until we counted 5 stars. 

Gwen designed a social distancing tool. It makes sure you stay 6 feet away from other people. 

Also ... the peaches. Like incredibly amazing this year.  I watched a youtube video on how to tell if they're ripe and we all love to walk out back and test them. Some of them were really big too! Turns out, Theo loves peaches.  I let Max hand him one because he was fussing so bad for it, thinking he would hold it and maybe get a bit or two out of it... after all, it was HUGE. As I tried to take it out of his hands to cut it up for him, he would just scream and refused to release it..he just started squishing it in his attempts to hold onto it. So I let him keep it... surely he'd tire of it before too long. Nope. He ate the whole humongous thing. I did manage to sneak the pit out at one point. He had the cutest smug smile when he finished the last bite.
